About NASTAVIA
The Sustainable Development and Governance Institute (SDGI), now NASTAVIA, was founded in 2020 under the leadership of Teimuraz Murgulia and a team of like-minded professionals. SDGI operated as a think tank dedicated to aiding government agencies in achieving their performance objectives. Our organization possesses an extensive toolkit derived from our collective expertise in performance assessment, change management, and, more recently, digital transformation.
Teimuraz Murgulia, a former high-ranking public servant, has an impressive career portfolio that includes roles such as Head of the Parliamentary Budget Office, Chief Financial Officer for Ministries of Internal Affairs and Defence, and Deputy Minister in multiple government ministries. He also has a rich history of participating in international projects in countries like Iraq, Nigeria, Uganda, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia.
Since its inception, SDGI has primarily concentrated on matters related to performance management. As a newly established entity, we initially operated as a subcontractor, collaborating with larger firms to provide subject matter expertise. For instance, we assisted the Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan in implementing Performance-Based Budgeting and Performance Assessment, while also offering project management support to our partner, a producer of FinTech and RegTech systems. In addition, we supported the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan by aiding in the processing of substantial volumes of regulatory data and the design of performance-based reports. In 2022, we were chosen by the large ERP integrator, a Microsoft partner, to execute a large-scale cross-system integration project for the National Bank of Georgia. The National BAR Association, responsible for national qualifications exams for barristers, twice selected SDGI as a partner – first for the implementation of electronic voting systems and subsequently for the design of performance-oriented examination systems.
Furthermore, SDGI collaborates with private businesses on their Digital Transformation and Change Management initiatives. A prominent medical equipment importer in Georgia, has also chosen SDGI as its partner for digital transformation efforts.
Recognizing our diverse competencies, the National Statistics Office recently appointed SDGI as its partner to assess its Digital Transformation roadmap and provide technical assistance in addressing data management-related challenges.
In light of our expanding business activities and international presence, our management board has decided to undertake a rebranding effort to align our identity more closely with our contemporary scope and objectives. This process led to the complete rebranding. The new name NASTAVIA, is a reflection of our strong dedication to the broader international presence.
Nastavia Logo represents the multi-directional spirit of the development. Green arrow pointing up represents improvements where KPI increase means success, like EBIDTA or market share. On the other hand, there are KPIs, where reduction is good - Greenhouse gas emissions, operational expenses, etc. Green arrow pointing down represents such improvements. Green frame around arrows means fitting all efforts in the general framework of sustainability.
