Nastavia began its journey in 2020 under its original name - the Sustainable Development and Governance Institute (SDGI). Founded by Teimuraz Murgulia and a group of like-minded professionals, SDGI was established as a policy-driven think tank focused on promoting data-based decision-making and performance management in public administration.
Over time, the organization evolved from an analytical institute into a fully fledged digital consulting firm. Early collaborations with government agencies and international partners helped SDGI refine its technical capabilities and expand into areas such as digital transformation, financial governance, and performance-based analytics. These early projects laid the groundwork for a unique blend of strategic insight, policy understanding, and technological execution — an approach that remains central to Nastavia today.
By 2023, the scope of work had grown beyond national borders, with projects across Central Asia, the Caucasus, and the Middle East. To reflect this broader mission and global orientation, the company underwent a complete rebranding, emerging as Nastavia - a name that signifies forward movement and renewal, honoring both the spirit of innovation and the personal inspiration behind its founding.
